If I were to say: Kill the Queen! I would be considered a bad person, maybe even a terrorist. But in 1776 it would be fashionably anti-monarchic. I'm always late. And off the mark, because then it was Kill the King.
But being early doesn't help either, because a hero of mine, Bill Bailey, was declared a Premature Antifascist when he tore the nazi flag from the SS Bremen in the NY Harbor in 1935.
